Life as a Business Analyst at CES/City IT:

As a Business Analyst at City IT, you will be a trusted partner in understanding complex business and technology requirements. You will be working with Delivery Leads, Architects and Global cross functional teams to deliver the requirements identified by key stakeholders on business-critical projects evolving our business.

Our Business Analysts work as part of our cross-functional IT teams ensuring what has been identified is successfully delivered by defining successful outcomes, and adding value to our stakeholders, colleagues and the wider business.

Our BA Practice value flexibility in their approach, able to understand complex problems whilst identifying solutions and asking questions that allow them to drill into the root cause of the “why” of the problem or opportunity!

As part of the Customer, Order Fulfillment & Sales Domain, we are looking for a Business Analyst with experience combining experience from Wholesale, FMCG or Retail environments with technology solutions to continue our evolution.

Your Objective:

• You will be responsible for identifying and understanding the complex needs and wants of the business, colleagues and stakeholders globally
• Work with stakeholders on identifying complex requirements for our customers
• You’ll translate those wants & needs into requirements with our Delivery Lead, Architect, then communicating those plans and roadmaps with our global cross-functional IT teams ensuring what has been identified is successfully delivered by defining successful outcomes, and adding value to our stakeholders and colleagues.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Business Analysis Practice through the ability to document and future proof our technology and processes at City.
• Support Business Analysis maturity within the global organization enhancing your Community of Practice

Key Skills and Experience:

• You will be an excellent communicator, able to foster strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, understanding the complex requirements of the business
• Experience combining business processes with IT solutions, owning the requirements until the successful delivery of those projects and requirements
• Knowledge and experience working with Agile, Waterfall or other SDLC methodologies – we don’t have a one size fits all approach!
• Ability to influence and implement changes across diverse stakeholder groups with experience leading workshops, taking a collaborative approach to successfully delivering value to stakeholders and the business.

Location:

• This role is predominantly home based however you may need to travel to UK Offices (Durham) and US Offices (Dallas) with some other international travel required from time to time. Approximately up to 5-10%% international annually.
