This posting seeks to fill two (2) Judicial Admissions Care Coordinator positions.About Our AgencyThe South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) is the state agency that plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for South Carolinians with the severe, lifelong disabilities of: intellectual disability and related disabilitiesautism spectrum disordertraumatic brain injuryspinal cord injury and similar disabilityJob ResponsibilitiesUnder limited supervision, oversees, plans, and coordinates services for DDSN-eligible persons that are involved with the criminal justice system.Interacts with other State agencies to develop a course of action for DDSN eligible individuals. Provides updates and maintains professional relationships with multiple outside entities.Coordinates and oversees orders from the court relating to persons who are eligible or potentially eligible for DDSN services. Assists in the development of service plans to ensure court orders are followed.Authorizes and monitors all DDSN-funded specialized treatment services to those involved with the criminal justice system.Evaluates and assists with identifying DDSN individuals who can be served in a less restrictive environment.Ensures DDSN policies (Directives) are updated and accurately reflect current processes and best practices.Position may require overnight travel.
