We are searching for a Laboratory Assistant-Histology to perform basic pre-analytical technical and clerical duties including but not limited to: specimen receipt, specimen integrity acceptability, specimen processing, assist with basic hazardous chemical waste disposal, stain filtration and set up for fresh froze section reagents, and cleaning of instruments.

* Hours: Per Diem

* Shift: Day shift; with up t0 24hrs

* Location: St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

* Successful completion of High School or equivalency required.

* Certification in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant preferred.

* Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

* Up to and including one year experience.

* Combination of education and experience as a microbiology specimen processor/lab assistant equivalent for at least 6 months accepted.
