MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from an accredited college or university
1 - 2 Years of experience working within the mental health and/or counseling field
1 - 2 Years of supervisory experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Social Sciences from an accredited college or university
2 Years of experience working within the mental health and/or counseling field, in a milieu setting
Familiarity working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
Licensed independent practitioner
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal i.e. Expresses ideas in a clear, concise manner
Provide summaries and recommendations/competent in completing forms and reports
Talented in demonstrating tact, taking initiative, being resourceful, displaying professional conduct, having enthusiasm and exhibiting a non-judgmental attitude
Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to interpret and abide by confidentiality laws, abuse reporting guidelines, client rights requirements, and abide by a code of ethical and practice standards
Availability to perform requested tasks and accept responsibilities as assigned by the Acute Care Director
Adhere to the confidential nature of client and program-related activities
Proficiency with PC, MS Office Suite, and EMR (credible; highly desirable)
May be required to travel to other facilities to attend trainings from time to time
Must possess a current FL Driver's License, in good standing
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for supervision of staff and overseeing scheduling and on-call rotations, in conjunction with the Acute Care Director Oversees the intake process of new clients on the day of admission, and audits client charts regularly to ensure all documentation is being completed throughout the course of treatment, in a timely manner
Manages and monitors the purchasing of household supplies in accordance with budgets for routine facility care
Completing client related paperwork, reviewing and obtaining signatures on all consents at the time of admission and assigning additional duties to counseling staff as necessary. Oversees the client discharge process and assigns duties to counseling staff as necessary
Participating in weekly team meetings, keeping notes and creating the treatment team overview notes for the staff to review
Managing client charts, ensuring new charts are opened when necessary and charts are audited and closed in a timely manner
Managing staff schedules to ensure that shifts are covered and staff are not incurring unnecessary overtime hours. Ensures all timesheets are submitted to payroll in a timely manner and reports any errors and/or corrections to payroll ASAP
Possess a complete and working knowledge of staff responsibilities to be able to help, support, and encourage staff
Conducts screenings for clients for consideration of the program and share with treatment team
