Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant to fill an opening with an Urgent care practice located in Poughkeepsie , New York

Requirements of the Physician Assistant / Urgent Care:

• Must have an active State License
• Must be Board Certified
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in Urgent Care

Schedule of the Physician Assistant / Urgent Care:

• This is a Full-time, Part-tine or Per-Diem position
• Monday to Friday (8:00 AM to 8:00 PM) with every other Saturday

Responsibilities of the Physician Assistant / Urgent Care:

• Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient s condition or illness
• Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
• Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
• Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
• Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
• Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
• Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
• Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
