CERTIFIED NURSE MIDWIFE

THPG is seeking a Texas Licensed,Board Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive Women's Health care to Ob/Gyn patients in Fort Worth, Texas .Successful candidates will be well-trained and organized team players capable of working autonomously.
This is a unique opportunity to further build a Midwife practice with excellent support in an established and convenient location while performing at the highest level of your Nurse Midwife training.
Position Details:
• PART TIME, 20 Hours per week
•Some weekends, evening hours and call is required to cover OB delivers.
• Ability to work autonomously and build patient relationships required.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree Nursing and Master's degree Midwifery education accredited program by Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education and Certification Board
• 1 Year experience as midwife in a comprehensive midwifery program
• 5 Years BSN nursing experience in emergency medicine, L&D or other high intensity nursing environment

Perform history and physical exams on new and established patients and those being seen for follow up appointments. Consult with the supervising physician as needed. 20%
Provide follow up and health maintenance care to patients in accordance with established protocols or specific instructions from the supervising physician. 20%
Initiate appropriate treatment and testing required for evaluation of illness based on training and experience. 10%
Provide counseling and instruction to patients regarding health related issues. 10%
Document clinical care of the patient according to established guidelines. 10%
Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as indicated by training and experience and as directed by the supervising physician. 10%
Communicate with patients and family members within state law confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines concerning health related questions. 10%
Participate in continuous quality improvement process and other initiatives in the area of employees practice. 10%
