Another in-house attorney, full-time remote position open. We filled the other position. CopperPoint Insurance Company is a stable company growing in almost 50 states. Its in-house operation is a well-respected establishment running for nearly 20 years with a good long-term reputation in the workers' compensation industry. It has an exciting opportunity for a full-time remote Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. No billing requirement. The position offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 to $160,000 plus an annual bonus with an excellent benefits package including a generous matching contribution to your 401k, major health insurance to include medical, dental, vision, and generous paid time off. Typical caseload is 75 files.
This position is for Los Angeles County venues.
Job Responsibilities:
The attorneys will have overall responsibility for the thorough review of claims files, identify legal issues, and conduct discovery in preparation for hearings before the Appeals Board. The attorneys will conduct settlement negotiations, conduct discovery including, interview witnesses, and participate in all hearings before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. The attorney will comply with legal filing deadlines on all cases.
