Fields Family Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Odenton, MD

Seeking Registered Dental Assistant to join our team!

We are a busy and growing dental office located in Odenton, MD. We are seeking a dental assistant.

Primary Job Duties Include:

· Assist with dental treatments

· Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols

· Prepare patient for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating and draping patients

· Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests

· Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist’s access, suctioning, passing instruments

· Take and record dental histories and patient records

· Prepare instruments; clean treatment areas; sterilize equipment

· Scan with digital scanner (CEREC) for fabrication of night guards etc.

· Order supplies

· Handle OHSA

· Front Office Support, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling, maintaining files, as needed

· Responsible for patient flow, keeping treatment rooms neat and organized

Ideal Candidate:

· Ability to project a positive, warm and professional image in person and on the phone

· Strong organizational and administrative skills

· Must be articulate and service-oriented

· Ability to multi-task, take initiative and anticipate needs of others

· Reliable and prompt

· Works well in a team.

Requirements:

· Active Maryland x-ray license

· Experience taking digital x-rays

· Experience with back office procedures

· Experience with digital scanning and impressions

· Experience with Dentrix
