Under the direction of the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Director, the Assistive Technology (AT)/Occupational Therapy (OT) Specialist is responsible for conducting assessments, providing professional development for staff and parents on evidence-based practices in AT, and development of AT related recommendations for students with disabilities. The AT/OT Specialist will participate in the responsibility of maintaining an inventory of low incidence equipment which will include processing low incidence equipment requests and supporting both trial and long-term assignment of equipment to students within a well-defined framework of policies, procedures, and objectives; and doing other related work as required.
