Are you experienced in food service, with an emphasis on providing fast, friendly service at high volumes? Do you enjoy motivating and coaching a team? If so, then you could be an assistant manager. Assistant Managers are the quarterbacks on our service lines, ensuring fast, fresh 30-second service, a hospitality-first guest experience, and providing an efficient, focused environment for team members. They are also the right hand man/woman to our general manager. You must be a team player!

*Previous Experience Required: Suitable for experienced quick-serve/fast casual worker with at least 1 year related work experience and at least 6 months of experience as a shift manager or similar. Shift Leaders are required to go through a 5-part training program to hone all their JJ-specific skills and complete a minimum number of hours before being eligible for shift leader.

We are looking for Shift Leaders who value and display the following key habits:

1. HOSPITALITY-FIRST FOCUS: Foster a guest-driven emphasis in stores, encouraging & promoting those who display a hospitality-first focus.

2. TRAINING: Train employees with 100% integrity; ensure that every team member has the proper knowledge to do the job they are being asked to do.

3. EMPLOYEE APPLICATIONS: Maintain store hiring ads and review applications. Forward or setup interviews for potential candidates.

4. WEEKLY ADMIN: Weekly macromatix & Podio invoicing, store inventory management. Complete weekly kitchen supplies & food orders. (or able to?)

5. SALES GROWTH & CATERING: Ensure execution is at a top tier level to maintain sales growth. Ensure Catering orders are executed flawlessly, and above and beyond!

  • Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Able to stand for long periods of time, lift 50 pounds as needed during shift, and operate slicer.
  • Manage and participate in opening, closing, and shift change functions.
  • Manage employee attendance, communicate employee performance issues to store and senior management in performance conversations
  • Perform general duties of hourly positions as needed.
  • Reinforce and actively display high hospitality standards with team members, providing feedback to staff
  • Ability to understand administrative POS (Point of Sale) functions, Run POS managerial reports as needed
  • Ability to swallow pride and handle customer complaints, even when it may not directly be your fault.
  • Execute all cash handling duties and manage delivery tips.
  • Attain certification in all hourly positions
  • Able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including some weekends and holidays.
