**The Opportunity**

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a mechanical design engineer and project engineer for hydropower projects. You will provide strategic advice and technical design and engineering consultation for new and upgrade hydropower projects for energy owners, including:

Hydro Turbine Upgrades

Pumped Energy Storage

Dam and Pipeline Projects, Including Radial Gates and Large Valves

Generator Cooling Systems

Raw Water Systems, Including Pumping Equipment

Turbine and Generator Bearings

Control Air Systems

Bearing Oil Systems

**Preferred Qualifications**

8 years of mechanical engineering experience, including 4 years in hydropower or related field.

Previous experience with engineering projects in a utility power plant setting.

Experience in design and operation support of conventional andhydroelectric generation stations.

Prior work with Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS) software

Previous experience in a client facing role.

**Minimum Qualifications**

Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. Minimum of 5 years related work experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

**Certifications**

Professional Engineering (PE) License or in pursuit of such registration.

**Work Environment/Schedule**
