Job Description

The Production Manager oversees the strategic operation of the Production Department and is the leader in ensuring the Production team meets its goals in a safe and efficient manner.

Description of Duties

• Support Production Manager in the delegation of day-to-day tasking of Production Team Members. Help to ensure consistent workflow on shop floor.
• Support Production Manager in Production planning schedule.
• Support in fielding day-to-day operational questions and concerns from Production Team Members.
• Support Production Manager in overseeing the calibration, general maintenance, and repair of Production tooling and equipment.
• Assist Production Manager in overseeing and evaluating direct reports for continuous skills training.
• Support Production Manager in the optimization of Production Department resources: time, labor, materials, machinery, etc.
• Ensure direct reports maintain proper certifications.
• Support miscellaneous Production workstations to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Be a mentor to other Team Members.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• S. in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• 5 years progressive experience in manufacturing related fields
• 5 years in a management role
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with MRP software a plus.
• Versed in Just in Time (JIT) and Lean Six Sigma principles and practices
