Job Description

Software Tech Enterprises, Inc., founded in 2002 is a Management Consulting and Information Technology firm that specializes in consulting and providing professional Information Technology (IT) services to the Federal Government, State and Local Government, and the private sector.

We are seeking a highly skilled AI Governance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be interfacing with leadership at all levels and must be able to present relevant information. Must be able to collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI use cases, considering factors such as feasibility, potential benefits, and ethical considerations.

Position Description

• Collaborate with the customer to develop AI framework, governance and policy.
• Develop associated standards and guide the customer on AI governance.
• Present and communicate the intent of AI government policies and Executive Orders.
• Interpret any new government legislations on AI.
• Support refinement and maintenance of AI Governance Framework process and procedure documentation
• Translate risk and governance concepts and issues into language understandable by cross-functional stakeholders
• Self-starter who can responsibly and independently advance work
• All other duties as assigned or directed.

Skills Requirements:

Basic Skills:

• Proven experience with the full system development lifecycle.
• Proven experience in organizational process development, governance, compliance, or related roles.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning, and their societal implications.
• Knowledge of responsible AI principles, fairness metrics, and bias detection techniques.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical AI frameworks.
• Stay abreast of global AI governance trends, regulations, and best practices
• Broad technical knowledge and depth on AI / ML / Data Science to liaise with technical teams to execute on responsibilities listed above effectively
• Excellent analytical skills to identify potential risks and propose effective solutions.
• Clear communication skills to convey complex ethical and technical concepts to various partners.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams..

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript and experience with ES6 features, such as classes, arrow Demonstrating intimate understanding of privacy, data, and model governance activities including AI risks, oversight mechanisms, documentation, development processes;
• Demonstrating an understanding of challenges in building production-worthy AI systems;
• Displaying an ability to manage senior stakeholders and client needs, including: building relationships with clients, approaching client in an organized manner, and delivering clear requests for information, facilitating alignment across multiple stakeholders;
• Providing problem solving skills, proven communication in written and verbal formats to various audiences to include executive leadership
• Displaying ability to research and analyze pertinent to the customer and technical matters;
• Demonstrating ability to contribute to a positive working environment by building relationships with team members;
• Proactively seeking guidance, clarification and feedback;
• Collaborating with teams comprised of technical, data science, and business specialists;
• Collaborating with senior leaders and coordinating roll-out and change management for new processes

Desired Skills:

• Master Degree, Advanced Degree in Computer Science, other quantitative discipline.
• Proven experiences in AI ethics, governance, and compliance is a plus.
• Training and/or Certification in AI ethics or related fields is a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Information Science
• Minimum 8 Year (s) of Experience

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
