Our Boston office is seeking a Senior Proposal Writer for our expanding team. Our team supports SOCOTECs specialized ATIC Architectural group including building envelope, sustainability, energy efficiency, code advisory and commissioning services.
This is a full-time role with expectation that minimum of 4 days per week are in-person in our Massachusetts office, up to one day per week remote. SOCOTEC offers competitive salary and benefits.

As a Senior Proposal Writer you will be integral to SOCOTECs success, providing a first point of interaction with our clients and defining the services they need.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participate in daily team scrum to review proposal priorities and progress.
- Review assigned qualification and proposal requests, assess proposal requirements and identify appropriate team leaders that will provide input on proposal scope and fees.
- Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages as needed to meet team deadlines, based on existing proposal templates and qualifications materials, and develop corresponding estimates for level of effort and fees.
- Conduct research, gather information, and attend meetings that may be needed for a specific proposal.
- Review qualifications packages, proposals and estimates with technical team leaders and update according to their input.
- Collaborate with internal Legal and Finance teams as necessary to produce complete qualification and proposal packages.
- Provide quality control review of proposals prepared by others on the Proposal Writing team to ensure on-time delivery to the prospective client.
- Contact clients/prospects to obtain any additional information needed to develop the proposal and confirm proposal receipt.
- Collect, enter and maintain client and project data in our CRM platform (Deltek).
- Coordinate with the Proposal Team Manager to develop and maintain templates based on client needs.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign).
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in proposal writing and estimating, qualifications preparation and staff management, with experience working at an architecture, engineering, marketing or consulting firm.
- Exceptional organizational and written communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capable of successfully managing multiple priorities and 3-5 team members at a time.
- Bachelors degree is required: experience in architecture, engineering, or related field is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is desirable.
