Your mission is to help ensure the accuracy and efficiency in our finance and HR administration operations.Duties include:Opening and closing batches; posting cash receiptsMonitoring and approving internal coding of disbursements in bill pay systemMaintain and manage credit card payables system; ensure accuracy and sync with accounting softwareMonitoring or handling invoicing processesProcessing monthly billing for SAF partnersProcessing and managing payroll, including journal entry; tracking accrued and used leaveSupporting budgeting process, annually and year-round.Supporting month-end closing activities and annual auditProviding financial reports and spreadsheetsHandling HR-related onboarding of new employeesMaintaining property tax filings, W9 formsImplementing processes to improve finance departments efficiency while maintaining strong internal controlsManaging relationship with third party accounting partner, accounting firm, investment advisor, benefits broker, EAP and other vendors related to organizations finances and administrationOther duties to support the department as requiredRequired Qualifications:Proven experience in a similar roleProficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly ExcelProficiency in accounting software, such as Sage IntacctProficiency in Bill.com (Bill), Divvy or other AP/AR, payroll and expensing softwareProficiency in payroll software, such as PaylocityExcellent time management and organizational abilitiesExcellent customer service skills and experienceStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to maintain confidentiality of sensitive informationEducation:High school diploma or equivalentBachelors or Associates degree in accounting, finance or business administration a plusCertifications a plusAbout Us:The Society of American Florists is a progressive trade association representing all segments of the U.S. floral industry.
