Job Description
Summary: Operate sweeper tuck to sweep parking lot, parking deck, curb lines, hand pick planter beds, loading docks. Remove large debris and proper disposal. Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle be washing the required areas and keep the inner and outer areas clean. Operate the vehicle in a safe manner. Procedures will be accomplished in accordance with department policies and procedures and operating manuals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Performs minor preventive and corrective maintenance in one or more of the following areas on an as needed basis.

• Sweeper Truck operator
• Painting
• General Maintenance
• Grounds
• Assists others with repairs and projects as assigned. i.e snow removal, operating sweeper truck, etc.
• Utilizes blue prints and manuals in the performance of maintenance work. Interprets written instruction, sketches and plans.
• Knows and observes safe working procedures.
• Inventories and maintains stocking of material in an orderly fashion.
• Evaluates and recommends orders for parts or materials needed.
• Accurately and timely fills out work summary sheet, log book, equipment log sheets.
• Participates in and fosters an approach to continuously improving quality that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
• In case of fire, internal or external disaster, perform assigned duties.
• Uses good communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, otherdepartments and the public.
• Maintain a high standard of personal appearance.
• Perform other tasks or assignments as directed by the Manager.
• Participate in all department training.
• Hours will be approximately 25 minimum weekly hours, up to 40 hours as needed.

Requirements
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience: It is highly recommended that the individual have a high school diploma or GED and one to three years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Math Ability: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills desired but not required.
Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed.
