Description

As a member of the Developmental Pediatric team, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant participates in the diagnosis, treatment and supportive care of patients at the Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics. This position works under the direction of the Developmental Pediatrician. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant will be responsible for developing evidence-based protocols and utilizing them to develop an individualized plan of care. Collects, documents, and analyzes patient data and collaborates with the health care team in the development and implementation of testing and treatment according to protocols. Participates in the development and implementation of health screening program for infants, children and adolescents for identification of at risk developmental behavioral problems. Participates in community and corporate education on developmental behavioral pediatric topics.

Requirements

* Graduate of nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physican' Assistant organization.

* Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Certified Physician's Assistant with an active license in Tennessee.

* Nurse Practitioner must have an active RN and APRN license.

* Minimum of two years' experience in a pediatric setting; working with children who have special needs/developmental disabilities preferred.

* Active BLS required.

* Experience with telemedicine and a high level of comfort with the technology preferred.
