Southwest Michigan First is seeking an energetic and experienced Marketing and Communications Senior Associate who is highly skilled in content creation, writing and editing, email and marketing, social media management, and event promotion. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital media platforms and technologies, with a focus on creating engaging content and driving audience growth. This position reports directly to the marketing and communications manager, and is a key member of our dynamic marketing and communications team.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling content for digital platforms, including websites, social media, and email campaigns.
• Write and edit internal and external marketing communications, ensuring all materials adhere to all brand and identity standards.
• Plan, develop, and create content for FIRST & 42, Southwest Michigan First’s digital news platform, email marketing, and social media.
• Lead our social media strategies to meet brand objectives, increase engagement, and grow our social media following.
• Promote and attend events, capturing images and producing video content for web and social media.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track campaign performance and identify areas for optimization.
• Assist in the review of new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of digital marketing development.
• Other duties as assigned.

The minimum essential requirements of the position are:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or relevant field.
• Two to four years of relevant experience with demonstrated success in developing and implementing impactful campaigns.
• Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-Design, and Canva.
• Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content for various audiences and platforms (print, digital, social media, email, reports, video).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines on or before schedule.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, social media management systems, and email marketing software.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for visual design and storytelling.
