The Position :
We are currently seeking an Associate Producer to join the Bally Sports North team. Reporting to the Coordinating Producer, this position oversees, executes, and coordinates a wide range of network projects for live sports and related programming and creates content for both linear broadcast and social platforms. This position collaborates closely with team partners, sales, and communication departments to make sure all elements and company initiatives are implemented correctly within our broadcasts. This position will be field producing live shots and feature stories and will do basic editing on avid software. The Associate Producer will play a pivotal role in hiring Production Assistants and Interns, as well as training them to work in a studio environment. 

The Game Plan :

  • Create content for broadcast and social platforms.
  • Collaborate with other departments and team partners to ensure sales and promotional elements are implemented into the broadcasts.
  • Field Producing
  • Editing on Avid Software
  • Train and evaluate Production Assistants and Interns

The Stats :
(What to bring)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 2 years’ experience in production and technical operations 
  • Ability to travel and attend live sporting events. 
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Knowledge of studio and remote production equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage several tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills 
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude. 
  • Time management skills.

A Plus :

  • Avid editing software experience
  • Organization and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of and passion for NBA basketball, NHL hockey & Major League Baseball.
