Description

The responsibilities of the Warehouse Operations Manager are

• Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of food products
• Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations and compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage and optimize inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
• Supervise warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, shipments, and warehouse productivity.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as production, sales, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food products.
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse activities, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, and labor productivity.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

Profile

A successful warehouse operations manager candidate must have

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience (5 years) in warehouse management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
