SIGMA DESIGN has collaborated with an aerospace company seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their facility in Everett, WA. This company designs human-machine interface products, offering balanced lighting solutions for cockpit needs. This position is a contract with an expected duration of 6 months.
While on contract with SIGMA DESIGN, you will be eligible for the following benefits:

- Salary: $99,000-143,000
Design and validate a wide variety of mechanical systems and assemblies for manufacturing equipment, measurement instruments and consumer and commercial products. Work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that customer and product requirements are met.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Part design, with a focus on sheet metal, injection molding, and electronics integration.
- Engineering analysis (Tolerance, Thermal, Dynamic, Stress) in support of project goals.
- Documentation of designs and design intent. Appropriate tolerance and specification. Creation of 3D CAD and 2D drawings, and Bill of Materials.
- Meet required client CAD and documentation Standards.
- Prepare and present materials for design reviews.
- Work closely with external customers maintaining a focus on customer service and relationship development.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3-5 years of related experience.
- Significant experience in 3D and 2D CAD systems. Creo Parametric or Pro-E experience required.
- Experience with a wide range of manufacturing methods (machining, sheet metal, injection molding, etc.)
- Experience performing mechanical system analysis, design margin analysis, and designing custom tools for assembly, testing or characterizing electro mechanical systems, and creating clear written technical documentation.
- Familiarity with test design, planning, and execution, including accelerated test methods.
- Experience working in a product design/manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to take initiative to identify and solve complex system level issues.
- Excellent analytical and empirical problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong teamwork/interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to plan work and accomplish objectives with minimal direction.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Must be US Person
- Basic computer literacy skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, basic file structure understanding, networks, and web navigation.
- Pass a post-offer background and drug screening.
