Responsibilities 
  • Equipment Setup: Led the setup, installation, and configuration of audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, visual displays, video engineering, & lighting design. 
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all audio-visual equipment is in working order and properly calibrated for optimal performance. 
  • Live Operation: Perform and/or oversee the operation of audio-visual equipment during live events. 
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during events, such as, but not limited to audio feedback, lighting malfunctions, or video display problems. 
  • Conduct thorough testing and quality checks of audio-visual equipment before events to prevent technical glitches during live presentations. 
  • Ensure compatibility between different components and software.
  • provide guidance, instruction, and support during event setup, operation & dismantling to audio-visual technicians 
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure efficient workflow. 
  • Manage equipment maintenance schedules, ensuring that all gear is regularly serviced, cleaned, and updated with the latest software and firmware. 
  • Keep an inventory of spare parts and components for quick replacements. 
  • Collaborate with event organizers and clients to understand their audio-visual requirements and provide expert advice on equipment selection and setup. 
  • Attend pre-event meetings to discuss technical requirements and ensure all aspects align with the event's goals. 
  • Operate audio mixers to provide clear and balanced sound for live performances, presentations, and speeches. 
  • Implement sound reinforcement techniques to ensure that all attendees can hear and understand the audio content. 
  • Set up and operate lighting systems, including programming and executing lighting cues. 
  • Adjust lighting to create the desired atmosphere and effects. 
  • Manage video equipment, including visual displays, to ensure proper setup and operation. 
  • Manage seamless switching of graphics presentations, video playbacks, and cameras. 
  • Recording cameras or other media as the customer requires. 
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation, including equipment manuals, setup diagrams, technical specifications, and post-show reports. 
  • Create and curate event-specific technical documentation for quick reference during setup and operation. 
  • Ensure that all audio-visual equipment and setups comply with safety regulations and industry standards. 
  • Implement safety protocols and practices during event setup and operation. 
  • Maintain effective communication with event organizers, clients, and the audio-visual team to ensure smooth event execution. 
  • Address client requests and concerns promptly and professionally. 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in the audio-visual industry. 
  • Develop and apply advanced troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • Track inventory of audio-visual equipment, manage replacements and upgrades, and assist in keeping records of equipment movement and usage.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and event attendees by addressing technical concerns and ensuring a positive experience. 
  • Be prepared to adapt to different event settings, equipment, and requirements, as live events can vary greatly in size and complexity. 
  • The role involves a combination of on-site work, driving responsibilities, and warehouse duties.
  • Evening and weekend work may be required to support events.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Operational Understanding of Technical Gear
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate to heavy equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) 
  • The ability to sit or stand for long periods
  • Physical movements such as bending, crouching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, sitting, standing, and walking
