At Sheryll Law, P.C., we are currently seeking an experienced, diligent, and highly organized Estate Planning Paralegal to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of estate planning principles and will work closely with our attorneys to provide superior service to our clients in all aspects of estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters.

Compensation:

$47,500 - $60,000

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with the drafting, reviewing, and finalizing of estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct legal research related to estate planning, probate, and tax laws.
  • Coordinate and schedule client meetings, manage follow-up communication, and ensure timely delivery of legal services.
  • Organize and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with ethical guidelines.
  • Work with court personnel, clients, and other professionals to facilitate the probate process and other legal proceedings.
  • Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities, such as county clerks, probate courts, and tax agencies.
  • Assist with the valuation and distribution of assets within trusts and estates.
  • Collaborate with the firm's attorneys to develop estate planning strategies tailored to clients' specific needs.
Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, or probate.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
