JOB SUMMARY: Maintains an adequate supply of clean dishes for both patients and non-patient food service on a timely basis and mops, sweeps floor and empties trash in accordance with approved sanitation and safety guidelines/procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
- Food Handler’s permit required or must be obtained.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/OTHER ESSENTIAL DUTIES
| Operates dish machine according to policy and procedures. |
| Washes pots and pans according to policy and procedures. |
| Notifies supervisor when recording data such as sanitizing levels, dish machine temperatures, food temperatures are out of range. |
| Delivers trays to patients accurately and in a timely manner. |
| Lines trays as appropriate to the position. |
| Cleans assigned equipment and areas according to cleaning schedules posted. |
| Maintains a high standard of cleanliness. |
| Washes hands appropriately throughout shift. |
| Wears gloves and changes gloves according to policy. |
| Performs other duties as assigned or required. |
| Gives regard to proper garbage disposal. |
| Disposes of trash and boxes properly. |
| Assists with putting stock away, using the first in first out method. |
| Sweeps and mops floors and uses wet floor signs. |
| Uses cleaning chemicals according to manufacturer’s guidelines. |
| Uses required Personal Protective Equipment per policy and procedure. |
