Hours/Week: Part Time up to 30 Hrs,

Scheduled Hours: Hours vary - Sunday through Saturday, to include: a 30 minute unpaid Meal Break after 6 hours of work and two paid 15 minute Breaks for every four hours of work.

Job Purpose

Responsible for performing and maintaining all functions relating to the effective operations and success of the store.

Essential Job Function

•  Greet customers in a friendly manner. 
•  Handle checkout duties and be efficient with the cash register.
• Stocking merchandise, prepping, labeling and placing apparel items or merchandise on or in the appropriate store fixtures.
•  Printing and affixing price labels on hangtags or directly on merchandise. 
• Keeping the store’s appearance clean, dusting merchandise, fixtures, including notifying Shelby Store Manager of items low in inventory and restocking merchandise when stock is low on the fixtures. 
•  Prepping and/or supplying additional inventory from the warehouse to the store and re-organizing merchandise so the product shelves are presentable. 
• Suggesting and/or implementing merchandise strategies to maximize the retail store footprint. 
• To perform duties and tasks as instructed by store management, including but not limited to, company receptionist, guided customer tours, sales and operation of Shelby simulator. 
• Required to wear assigned Shelby apparel as designated by the Store Management, which will be supplied to the Associates. 
• Associates should be knowledgeable of the merchandise in the store and be resourceful in assisting with a customer inquiries. 
• Taking direction from the Store Management to perform and/or assist with other Shelby related retail initiatives. 
• Must work well individually and with others.

Abilities

Requires repetitive movement, standing for six to eight hours per shift, lifting boxes weighing up to 40 pounds, face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams, use of electronic mail, telephone conversations, contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise). Opportunity to make decisions without supervision. Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over. Requires being exact or highly accurate, requires meeting strict deadlines. Requires work with the public and to work with others in a group or team.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

Three or more years of similar experience. High School/G.E.D.

Ability to pass a Pre-Employment, Random or Reasonable Suspicion Drug Screen(s). 

Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Background Check.
