Benedictine College Preparatory is Hiring a Spanish Teacher, Long-Term Substitute Near Richmond, VA

Job Title: Spanish Teacher, Long-Term Substitute

FSLA Status: Exempt, full-time, temporary

Work Hours: 5-month position; Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Position Start Date: January 2, 2024

Salary Range: $4,100-$4,600 per month

Job Summary:

The Benedictine Schools of Richmond, which includes Saint Gertrude High School and Benedictine College Preparatory, seek an innovative, collaborative, high school Spanish teacher. Experience necessary. This is long term sub position from January 2, 2024 - June 1, 2024.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
Degree in Spanish
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Teach Spanish through the AP level.
Support the mission of the school, model its Benedictine values, and journey with students as they become confident, competent, and compassionate men and women.
Utilize the school’s student information system to post assignments, units of study, and related course materials to support student self-initiative and self-advocacy.
Assume standard non-curricular responsibilities assigned to all faculty.
