Serco North America is Hiring an Instructional Designer Near Herndon, VA

Position Description :

Serco is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to join our talented Learning and Performance Services team! This is a full-time position that is 100% remote.

Sercos Learning and Performance Services team supports the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) and develops courseware for their catalog of online and classroom courses. We are looking for your prior experience developing courseware for any Department of Defense (DoD) entity and your familiarity with federal acquisition related content and processes.

This Instructional Designer will part of a small team that works closely together and with our customer and program partners to help develop and prepare training for federal acquisition students.

In this role you will:

  • Work with a design team to perform analysis, design, and development for instructional and/or performance support solutions
  • Contribute to the course development and course delivery phases of the project
  • Write clear, concise instructional content
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to review and edit course development materials
  • Conduct system analysis and review of Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) to determine course objectives and content development
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Bachelors degree in Instructional Design or related learning field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in developing courseware for online/web-based delivery
  • Experience with courseware development tools (Captivate, Articulate, etc.)
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle, Cornerstone On-Demand, or others
