Requirements : minimum high school diploma or GED; no experience is required.
Schedule : approximately 12 weeks (include 12 hours/week in classroom, simulation, or clinicals); 3 days/week for a total of 12 hours/week.
Time : 5PM - 9PM
Start Date : Spring 2024
Location : Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital
In addition, 24 hour or 36 hour of employee with 12 hours of PCT class time and 1-2 additional 12 hour shifts as a Safety Care Partner
Upon completion of the class, participants will be transitioned to a Patient Care Technician position and will be prepared to sit for the PCT certification.

Job Summary
Assists with the provision of a safe hospital environment conducive to individualized patient care for patients at risk of suicide, falls, wandering, agitation, impulsiveness, self-harm or other risk behaviors enabling patients to maintain or enhance function during the hospital stay.Qualifications:
