Position Status : Full-time, Rotating Shift

Position Location: Onsite at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA

SWRMC has 145 licensed beds and features the latest healthcare technologies, serving the region with the life-saving capabilities of an ultra-modern medical center. The hospital offers a full range of medical care from emergency heart catheterization to all-inclusive obstetrics care where patients can labor, birth, and recover postpartum in one room. The hospital also provides advanced imaging and "smart" operating rooms.

SWRMC offers a full range of healthcare services to residents of Williamsburg and surrounding communities. Located within Virginia's "historic triangle" which includes Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown, the area is home to some of Virginia's most popular tourist attractions. As a result, SWRMC provides services to many out-of-town visitors requiring healthcare services while visiting the historic Williamsburg area.

Position Summary:

As a full-service medical center, SWRMC is looking for an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) prepared Imaging Services Director to lead their Radiology Department.

Serving the upper and middle Peninsula, SWRMC has all essential hospital and emergency care technology as well as a full range of outpatient services. The Imaging Services Director will be key to the continuance of high-quality care throughout the Radiology Department. Known for its Quality Care.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Imaging Services Director will oversee the coordination and daily operations of the Radiology department at the hospital and off-site imaging facilities. The Director of Imaging Services will be supported by 2 Radiology Managers, Supervisor and 85 skillful FTEs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, control, plan, organize, and evaluate the timely, effective, and efficient delivery of the department's operations on a 24-hour basis.
  • Ensure that the department performs to the highest possible standard within the resources made available, thus ensuring the delivery of quality care and service to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Accountability for the departmental budget and Position Control, ensuring the consistent application of the hospital's policies and procedures and foster teamwork within and between areas of responsibility.
  • Promote specialized knowledge and skills through the support of staff education and professional development.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
  • 3 years Healthcare Management experience
  • 5 years of Imaging experience
  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist
