We are seeking a **Senior Customer Service Representative** to join our Kawneer business located in **Harrisonburg, VA**. The Senior CSR role is known as "Project Manager" internally. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with our customers via email and phone to coordinate orders. 5 years of experience in a corporate customer service role is required. Customer service experience in a construction or manufacturing setting is nice to see, but it is not required.
**Job Responsibilities and Duties:**
* Coordinate and advance project status for the full life cycle, from customer contact through manufacturing and delivery.
* Confer with customers throughout the entire process to keep them informed of the status of jobs, solicit additional information needed for current jobs, and coordinate changes to jobs.
* Engage customers to gather job requirements & translate customer requirements into detailed manufacturing for disposition of the customers products. May assist sales with pricing/scheduling of potential business by referring to price sheets & engaging appropriate operations departments.
* Make suggestions to customers regarding workflow/process improvements to proposed jobs to maximize the benefits to both the customer & the Company.
* Management of backlog to include reviewing backlog, proactive management of orders that may not meet original deadline, notifying customers of status if something has changed, and working with plant personnel around scheduling.
* Review material quotes with customer; obtain approval.
* Coordinate the resolution of customer or manufacturing issues.
Engage appropriate departments to verify the issue & determine the root case.
May make recommendations to management on appropriate response to issues that are in the best interest of the customer and the company.
Communicate with customers regarding the resolution of issues.
* Within order management, responsibilities also include but are not limited to processing LOIs, purchase orders, sales tax credits, feedback and claims management, and transferring orders to other locations.
**Qualifications**
**Basic Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
* 5 years of experience in a corporate customer service role.
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or construction industry experience.
* A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
