Job Summary

A successful Supply Planning Coordinator will work with team members to manage the inventory levels of products, materials, and parts for Selkirk Sport. The individual will also be expected to negotiate and monitor logistical contracts for domestic and international receipt of goods.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly meet with the Production Manager to ensure raw materials are in adequate supply and reordered promptly to keep production flowing smoothly
  • Update the Inventory Forecast Spreadsheet to aid in the decision-making process for issuing POs to factories and suppliers
  • Analyze supply trends and report to the Logistics Manager to ensure inventory is reordered on time
  • Work with Sales and Customer Service to advise container schedule, estimated time of arrival, and listing any back ordered items
  • Oversee and maintain the Kanban purchasing system
  • Create vendor profiles in our production system (Brightpearl) and collect necessary tax documents and other paperwork necessary to establish each vendor
  • Perform general purchasing duties
  • Maintain the inventory for the Amazon store

Skills Required

  • Minimum 40 WPM typing speed
  • Data entry using 10-key required
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to a variety of audiences.
  • Takes ownership and accountability for your work while keeping your team in the loop & collaborating
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new software & tools quickly
  • Adaptability to work in a dynamic environment and to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Focused and results-oriented personality. Never willing to just do the bare minimum.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar position preferred
  • Experience managing suppliers preferred
  • Experience working with an inventory and accounting system preferred
  • Experience with logistic contract negotiations preferred
  • Experience with working with all relevant International trade requirements and documents preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Organized, accurate, and detailed-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills

Hours: Monday thru Thursday 7:30 to 5:00, Friday 8:00 to 12:00
