Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced TV Mounting Low Voltage Contractor to join our team. As a contractor in this role, you will be responsible for installing, mounting, and wiring television systems in residential and commercial settings. You should possess a strong understanding of low voltage systems, including cables, wiring, and connections, as well as proficiency in using various tools and equipment necessary for installation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct on-site assessments to determine the most suitable locations for TV mounting and installation.
- Install and mount televisions securely and safely according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
- Measure and align mounts accurately to ensure proper placement and stability.
- Run cables and wiring discreetly and efficiently to connect televisions to power sources, audio-visual components, and other peripherals.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve wiring or connectivity problems as needed.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to clients on the selection of appropriate mounting hardware and accessories.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices throughout the installation process.
- Maintain organized documentation of installation projects, including diagrams, schematics, and service records.
- Collaborate effectively with other contractors, technicians, and team members to coordinate installation schedules and workflow.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a TV mounting technician or low voltage contractor, with a minimum of 1 year in the field.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring televisions, mounts, brackets, and related equipment.
- Strong understanding of low voltage systems, including HDMI, coaxial, and Ethernet cables.
- Familiarity with various types of mounts, wall materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors.
- Capacity to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
