Business Analyst II Digital Experience

Select Medicals Digital Experience team is a collaborative group including a project manager, business analysts, and developers. It focuses on delivering innovative digital solutions that exceed the changing needs of our patients and employees. To help us achieve this mission, we are hiring a Business Analyst that will focus on new and ongoing initiatives including our employee portal, several brand websites, digital marketing campaigns and the job applicant experience.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented individual that enjoys collaborating with other team members and with the Communications and Branding department, possesses excellent communication and documentation skills, is highly organized and skilled in the use of Agile methodologies.

• Participate in collaborative brainstorming sessions to determine the requirements of new initiatives
• Work with the business users in documenting Product Backlog Items representing new or revised requirements
• Adopt Scrum practices and drive continuous process improvement
• Work with other business analysts and product owners to groom the product backlog, ensuring that user stories contain correct details and are ready for estimation
• Present new Product Backlog Items to the team for estimation
• Test new functionality to identify defects and ensure an optimal user experience
• Recommend usability enhancements
• Lead sprint reviews by demonstrating working software to the product owners
• Ensure that our digital properties are ADA compliant, following the WCAG standard

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing or related discipline
• 2 or more years of demonstrated experience in iterative methodologies (Agile/Scrum/Kanban)
• 2 or more years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst on employee portals, marketing websites, ecommerce, or other digital projects
• Proven ability to lead requirements planning sessions 2 years
• Experience delivering software solutions that support marketing initiatives 2 years

Desirable Qualifications:

• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Experience delivering solutions based on web content management platforms such as Sitecore and SharePoint
• Experience with leveraging UX research and design techniques to determine or refine project requirements
• Ability to perform simple technical tasks, such as updating website content using HTML and CSS
• Prior experience working with digital agencies
• Prior knowledge of the WCAG standard
• Superior teamwork, time management and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills commensurate with a professional working environment
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated passion for delivering exemplary customer service
• Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to changing business priorities
• Demonstrated active listening skills and history handling human experiences
• Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications
• Knowledge of browser-based technologies and responsive websites
• Understanding of operating systems such as Windows, OS X, iOS, Android
• Understanding of Agile Scrum/Kanban software tools such as Jira or Microsoft Team Foundation Server
