A leading Venture Capital firm based out of North Carolina is looking to add an Associate/Senior Associate to their team this Summer. The firm invests in transformative high-growth technology companies across five separate strategies.

The team is seeking to hire an Investment Professional who will serve as an integral member of the firm’s collaborative and close-knit investment team. The candidate (Associate or Senior Associate), based on relevant industry experience) will participate in all aspects of the investment process across the platform and will be expected to perform a range of responsibilities with a particular emphasis on our growth-stage direct investing practice.

The Venture Capital Profesional will be responsible for:

• Participating in all aspects of sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, decision-making, closing, and monitoring of funds (both primary and secondary) and direct investments across the platform and within our collaborative, team-based model.
• Conduct ad hoc investment-related projects as needed.
• Produce research, modeling, and analytical support and prepare diligence documents, investment memos, and other investment-related materials.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships within the venture industry to build market knowledge, source investment opportunities, and further the firm’s brand

The Venture Capital Profesional will be responsible for:

• 1 to 5 years of experience working in investment banking, consulting, investment/asset management, private equity, venture capital, or at a technology company
• Exceptional undergraduate candidates with an orientation to venture capital are also encouraged to apply.
• Comfortable working as part of a small, performance-oriented team in a fast-paced environment.
• Intellectually curious, with a strong interest in technology, startups, and innovation, and experience with growth-stage due diligence process and analysis.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to discuss complex financial data and concepts and clearly and concisely draft internal and external presentations, memos, and investment recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact in a professional manner with both outside investment professionals and internal members of the team. Team-oriented and collaborative work style is a must.
