The Gallery Sales Associate will assist in carrying out Sedona Arts Center’s policies and procedures in the Arts Center’s Gallery to ensure smooth operations and maximum sales while meeting the mission of the organization. This position reports to the CEO.

General duties:

• Be knowledgeable about the history, mission, events and programs of the organization.

• Maximize Gallery sales using standard fine arts sales techniques and assume responsibility for

understanding artists’ work and processes.

• Maintain policies and procedures in the Arts Center’s Gallery.

• Assist in hanging work and arranging displays in the Gallery.

• Be able to lift a minimum of 25lbs.

• Be familiar and comfortable with Square, Woo Commerce, and all basic computer programs.

• Be familiar with retail functions including inventory, staff training, point of sale and other

necessary retail functions.

• Assists in keeping marketing materials up-to-date and stocked, including artist resume/bio

materials.

• Be able to post and promote work on social media.

• Work effectively with all staff and volunteers.

• Maintain positive relationships with the community, artists, staff and faculty, as well as other

galleries and arts organizations.

• Other duties as assigned.
