JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Summary Responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and payroll taxes for US and Canada | Evaluates current systems, and recommends and develops operating efficiency improvements | Prepares reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including such items as tax payments Responsibilities Prepares, documents and disburses payroll checks and payroll taxes Responsible for Automated Clearing House banking activities, (Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT), rejects, recalls, stop payments) Evaluates current systems, and recommends and develops operating efficiency improvements Prepares reports illustrating payroll expenditures, including such items as tax payments as well as other ad-hoc reports on demand Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for US and Canada via Workday Process miscellaneous off-cycle checks including final paychecks, severance Provide Tier 2 support to field and corporate employees via case management tool, ServiceNow Participate in system testing as required for software/hardware upgrades, implementations, and integrations Assist in Payroll Monthly/Quarterly Close process Qualifications Proven experience as a payroll coordinator, analyst, or similar role Familiarity with payroll processes Flexibility to keep up with shifting legal requirements Good knowledge of legislation relevant to accounting and payroll (such as Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Wages and Fair Labor Standards Act) Working knowledge of payroll systems (Workday required) Must have Canadian payroll processing experience Comfortable with Excel (functions, data etc.) An analytical mind with good math skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality Strong communication skills Excellent attention to detail #LI-SN1 #DBCORP
