Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer with focus on DevOps and Integration Testing to join us in developing and deploying a growing product line of mobile robotics applications for maritime vessels.. This role values engineers with strong "systems-level" thinking - the ability to reason through interactions and trade-offs between components.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work collaboratively with software architects and engineers on software development for a range of different platforms and products.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Automate and improve our software build, test and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain our container orchestration systems using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Build monitoring and alerting systems for our infrastructure.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Work cross-functionally with technical teams, operations, and product management.
• Maintain software documentation and assist in the development of user documentation.
• Participate in on-water testing with our test fleet.

Qualifications and Skills

• BS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 5 years of DevOps experience.
• Strong Linux background (kernal, system administration, networking).
• Computer programming experience at an advanced level equivalent which includes using an object-oriented programming language (C , C#, Java, etc.) and scripting (Python, Unix).
• Proficient experience with Continuous Integration (CI-CD, Jenkins).
• Proficient experience with virtualization and containerization.
• Experience with multi-tier architecture.
• Experience with unmanned vehicles and/or mobile robotics.
• Experience with the development of autonomous vehicle simulations and automated tests.
• Familiarity or knowledge of ROS (ROS2, rosbag, gazebo).
• Experience with Agile principles.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and convincingly.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced development schedule.
• Familiarity with marine vehicles and instrumentation is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong desire to seize optimization opportunities.
• Interest in self-improvement and staying up-to-date on the latest technologies.
