We have an openings for on-call positions in our Early Childhood Department providing direct care and supervision to children ages 6 months to 6 years old.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED; AND
• At least one year of qualifying experience working with children 6 months to 6 years old; AND
• Current First Aid ,CPR and Food Handlers certifications; AND
• Current enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry.

DUTIES:

• Maintain a safe learning environment that is responsive to the social/emotional, physical, cognitive, and language development of children in assigned classroom. Execute each days activities as directed.
• Work closely with co-teachers in implementing planned lesson. Complete records as directed.
• Lead and participate in all classroom and play activities; respond to behavioral issues as they arise. Supervise children to ensure safe play. Effectively communicate with children at their individual developmental level. Model appropriate problem solving behavior. Implement discipline and safety measures as necessary.
• Observe, evaluate and communicate effectively with children, parents and other staff. Maintain confidentiality.
• Serve meals in accordance with proper hygiene standards; maintain food handlers card.

Physical requirements may include lifting children or heavy items (up to 50 pounds) unassisted.
