Schiavone is Hiring an Intern - Heavy Civil Engineer Near Rockaway Park, NY
Work within a team of professionals in developing civil engineering plans and specification for projects
Assist in producing design/construction drawings, technical specifications, and bid documents
Help to communicate and coordinate technical evaluations and designs, technical writing of reports and correspondence with Project Manager and design team to complete work efficiently
Support team in completing tasks within budget and on schedule
Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards & regulations
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering (or similar) Bachelor's degree program as rising Junior or Senior
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Availability to commit to our team for 12 weeks
A basic understanding of the working concepts of Civil projects
Ability to understand basic project components and analyze schematics such as engineering drawings and specs; estimates, change orders, and schedules.
Strong technical skills: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Organizational ability - able to plan, prioritize, organize and monitor activities and projects. Able to work well in a group environment and foster a team approach.
