Job Summary
Prepares financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance. Prepare forecasts and analyzes trends in a health care setting. Utilizing PC and/or mainframe based systems and software; compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed. Conducts special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in the preparation of analysis.* Attends monthly Internal Financial Review. Prepares monthly financials, including current period performance, in-
\u00A0\u00A0 depth financial trend and variance analysis, and P&L analysis to Administration.\u00A0 20%
* Develops annual operating budget\u00A0including\u00A0volumes, revenue,\u00A0FTEs, salary, supply, and other expenses in\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
\u00A0\u00A0 accordance with system profitability targets. Reviews and monitors budget input and spread to minimize budget\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
\u00A0\u00A0 error. Provides support to Management in the development of the Capital Budget.\u00A0 20%
* Works closely with Administrator/Director and departmental leadership to provide financial support for issues\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
\u00A0\u00A0 pertinent to department operations and provides support as needed to assist in daily financial operations. 15%
* Monitors charge capture, documentation, billing timeliness and accuracy. Assists the Reimbursement dept. with\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
\u00A0\u00A0 issues regarding the charge master to maximize reimbursement. Communicates charge information/issues to\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0\u00A0
\u00A0\u00A0 departments. 15%
* Performs any requested special projects, including\u00A0proformas,\u00A0process improvement initiatives, strategic planning,
\u00A0\u00A0 and the\u00A0development\u00A0of EPSI queries.\u00A0 15%
* Works with other departments within the system, including the Planning dept. in completion of DHEC's Joint Annual
\u00A0\u00A0 Report, Management Engineering for issues regarding staffing levels, and others in completion of system-wide
\u00A0\u00A0 goals.\u00A0 15%
Bachelor's Degree - Finance, Business or\u00A0Accounting
3 Years -\u00A0Finance, Accounting or related experience
CPA or Master's degree in Healthcare, Finance, Business or Accounting with 2 years related experience..
