The Surgery Center-Registered Nurse role is a key member onsite at our fertility clinic in Laguna Hills. You must be well organized, self-motivated and possess exceptional communication skills. This role has full accountability for patient care management before, after and while the patient is in the surgery center. Must be courteous, compassionate, empathetic, and respectful during treatment to both internal staff and external patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the accredited (AAAASF) surgery center, including the surgical logs, quality control, studies, etc.
• Schedule procedures and communicate with clinical team
• Process credentialing process for Physicians
• Prepare patients for surgery (Pre-op) and Recover patients (post-op).
• Set up and clean OR for procedures.
• Circulating during procedures.
• Schedule anesthesiologist and confirm post anesthesia orders.
• Monitor patients in PACU, record progress and vital signs, maintain patient charts.
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
• Assist treatment Coordination (IUI/IVF/FET)
• Inventory Management, supply ordering/stocking
• Assist clinical team, draw blood, start IVs, etc.
• Projects assigned by the clinical team and Management team.

Schedule:

• Work hours are 20-25hours a week primarily in the morning hours with a start time of 6am/7am. Monday through Friday; Hours depending on surgery center and clinic schedules. May work weekends and holidays as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

• California Licensed Registered Nurse
• Preferred experience in a surgery center or the fertility industry
