• Under the direction of the Logistics Manager, the Class B Driver will be responsible to organize and coordinate daily transportation service for the residents of Paradise Valley Estates and for the business needs of the facility. As a member of the Logistics Team, the driver will contribute to an uplifting and positive atmosphere on the bus and on the PVE Campus.

  Job Responsibilities Include:

• Provides transportation services and assistance to people residing at Paradise Valley Estates, conforming to Board approved policies and all federal, state and local regulations.
• Assists people safely on and off as well as in and out of PVE vehicles as needed.
• Keeps all vehicles clean and oversees that they are in good running condition. Performs daily inspections of vehicles in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Abides by all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Department of Transportation and California Commercial Carrier regulations.
• Reports all problems and unsafe conditions to the Logistics Manager.
• Is alert for any change in a person’s condition and reports these promptly to the Logistics Manager.
• Communicates through appropriate channels.
• Handles difficult situations with appropriate and professional judgment.
• Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident and company information and adheres to the HIPAA regulations.
• Ensures that residents’ right to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights including the right to register a complaint are maintained at all times,
• Works safely by following company policies, keeping work area clean and reporting potential of actual unsafe work conditions. Reports all unusual activity by people on campus, affecting safety or security of other people or to PVE in general to Logistics Manager or other member of the management team as is appropriate.
• Maintains familiarity with the happenings on campus. Encourages residents to remain active.
• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by management.

• Qualifications:

• Proof of valid California Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement.
• Proof of insurance with no moving violations for ten years
• Must maintain a current, valid medical examination certificate.
• Previous experience as a professional commercial driver
• Experience as a bus driver preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors is a plus
