Joyce University is Hiring a Nursing Faculty Clinical (Part-Time) - Utah Near Salt Lake City, UT

Description: We are currently looking for energetic and dedicated instructors to join our Clinical Nursing Faculty.
The primary responsibilities of the clinical faculty are to implement the curriculum, instruct the students, and uphold the policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the University. The incumbent may be floated to Simulation, Lab, and Clinical areas according to the needs of the nursing program.
We are currently filling a part-time position which will work at assigned clinical locations in the Salt Lake City area and usually fill 1 or 2 shifts per academic term.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Accurately calculate and report student performance and attendance in a timely mannerMaintain evidence of professional growth including membership and participation in professional organizations, continuing education, concurrent related practice experience, educational research, and an awareness of current practice standardsAttend staff meetings, pinning, graduation, and other University eventsParticipate in continuous quality improvement and professional development activities to enhance the teaching-learning process and provide evidence of participation to the HR GeneralistAssist in compilation of statistical data and other information as requested for accreditation and other organizational needsUtilize instructional methods that accommodate various learning modes of studentsIdentify and remediate behavioral and academic deficienciesSubmit suggestions and supportive data for improving curriculumMaintain integrity of curricular offeringsOther duties as assignedBEHAVIORS AND COMPETENCIES:Collegial LeadershipGuides student learning with confidence and competence across delivery methods; models proper academic and professional behavior for students; coaches students on course material; manages student behavior, discipline, and assessment with fairness and equitable resolutions to potential conflict.Educational StandardsDemonstrates strong command of subject matter; implements course and program outcomes successfully; demonstrates excellent teaching skills across delivery methods; creates learning environments that promote participation, collaboration, and openness; represents University in positive, professional light in student interactions; accessible to students, responding promptly with quality, confidence-building feedback.Technical and Professional Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAchievement of technical and professional knowledge, skills, and abilities is high in position-related areas; demonstrates curiosity and keeps current with trends in areas of expertise .Work StandardsSets high standards of performance for self, assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks on time; work demonstrates a high degree of excellence and accuracy.Teamwork and EngagementParticipates as an active member of the team and works towards common goals; builds positive relationships in the workplace and participates in learning and social functions.Organizational AlignmentModels the behaviors expected of all employees including an adherence to the mission, vision, values, and core themes of the organization; high levels of mutual respect, emotional maturity, professionalism, communication, and a drive for results.RequirementsRequirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Required license:RN, unencumbered in the State of UtahRequired education:Bachelor's degree in nursing, (Master's degree in nursing preferred)Required Experience:2-3 years in nursingPreferred teaching experience:2-3 years in teaching
