Diesel Bus Mechanic - MCI Motorcoach

Sam’s Limousine Austin is currently seeking an experienced Full-time Motorcoach/Bus Mechanic to join our team. The role involves performing skilled preventative maintenance, diagnostic and repair work on MCI motor coaches to ensure optimal functioning and enhance the overall customer experience.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on motor coach buses
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles are in compliance with safety regulations
• Perform tire service, including rotation, balancing, and replacement
• A/C maintenance
• Computer Diagnostic
• Respond to road calls

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a motor coach service technician or in a similar role
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
• Knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA regulations
• Must own basic hand tools
• Experience in following areas
  • Engine Repair
  • Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
  • Manual Drive Train & Axles
  • Suspension & Steering
  • Brakes
  • Electrical/Electronic Systems
  • Heating & Air Conditioning
  • Engine Performance
  • Vehicle Diesel Engines

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to stand, sit, squat, and lay for extended periods
• Able to perform duties in inclement weather as necessary
