**Job Description**

**Assistant Store Manager** *This position is eligible for benefits including: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Paid Time Off, and more!* **Summary** Assist store manager in managing retail store effectively to achieve sales goals and manage expense budget. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities**

- Assist store manager with managing budgeted sales and expense to revenue (E/R).

- Demonstrate the ability to effectively perform the duties of opening and closing the store as needed.

- Trains and supervises store employees in retail procedures.

- Display and model excellent customer service.

- Performs stocking, display, and inventory duties.

- Enforces retail sales and donation policy and procedures according to the retail procedures manual.

- Must maintain the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- Must work a flexible schedule to comply with the needs of the store.

**Supervisory Requirements** Direct supervision of employees and volunteers in absence of Store Manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. **Education Requirements** High school diploma or general education degree (GED). **Experience Requirements** Experience in retail operations preferred but not required. **Qualifications** Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to Goodwill's liability insurance provider. Must maintain the ability to pass a criminal background check and random drug screens. **Physical Demands**
