- POSITION SUMMARY
- Position Summary:
- Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assembles needed supplies/equipment before and during the surgical procedure while maintaining standards of care established for the patient scheduled for a procedure. The surgical technician sets up the procedure, anticipates the physicians needs and hands supplies and instruments to the physician. Takes assigned call.

- Minimum Education
- High school or equivalent
- Completion of an anatomy and physiology course preferred

- Minimum Experience
- On-the-job training

- Required Registration/License/Certification
- BLS certification to be obtained within 90 days of employment
- Certified Surgical Tech (CRT) certification preferred
