JOB SUMMARY: Project Manager is responsible for successful execution of large and multi-discipline projects to deliver high quality services within the boundaries of schedule and budget. Project Manager works closely with Technical, Accounting, and Business Development teams to manage Client’s expectations and deliver profitable outcome. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The responsibilities listed are fundamental to the position and must be performed successfully to achieve the key performance objectives of the role. Other responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Manage large/complex and multi-discipline projects. · Coach less experience Project Management staffing. · Grow business through identifying and obtaining project opportunities with current and new Clients. · Complete performance evaluations of project team members and assist with identifying professional development opportunities.
  • Understand and follow company procedures. · Create and maintain project documentation. · Develop proposals and recommend proposal strategies to secure contracts. · Understand project contractual obligations and assist with negotiating fees and payment terms.
  • Coordinate with Department Managers to determine resource requirements and facilitate staffing development plans based on schedule needs. · Create project execution plan. · Develop project schedule and maintain throughout project lifecycle. · Manage project budget.
Proactively support Change Management by authoring, submitting, and facilitating the resolution of Change Orders. · Identify & mitigate project risks. · Facilitate project coordination & communications (internal & external). · Lead effective meetings (internal & external) and record meeting minutes.
  • Review and approve invoices. Follows up and resolves disputed charges or late payment issues. · Coordinate with other disciplines to improve project quality and internal processes. · Develop and lead presentations (internal & external).
  • Perform project closeout. · Able to issue engineering packages to Clients, Contractors, Vendors, etc. · Lead internal continues improvement initiative. · Participate or lead internal continues improvement initiative.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Driven and positive attitude and ability to work as a team member. · Ability to lead and coach others. · Good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. · Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential data. Effective Date: 12/20/19 · Commitment to excellence and high standards. · Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. · Advanced experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Fundamental to advanced experience with Deltek is preferred. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: · Four-year degree in Engineering or Business related field. · Minimum five years of experience as Project Manager / Project Engineer / Technical Lead. SOFTWARE: · Advanced skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint · Advanced skills with Microsoft Project WORKING CONDITIONS: Working Hours/Environment · Hours average 40 per week; may require additional hours including evening and weekends depending on business needs.
  • Work typical performed in an indoor office setting/client site. Travel: Minimal Physical Demands: · Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time. · Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time. · Light Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person. · Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around an office environment. · Ability to analyze unique situations and develop appropriate response.
