Registered Nurses needed! Are you experienced and interested in a new position as a RN? On behalf of St. Agnes Medical Center and Trinity Health, registered nurses are needed for these full-time positions on the Emergency Department. Position: Registered Nurse Emergency Department (ED RN)

Location: St. Agnes Medical Center, 1303 E Herndon Ave. Fresno, CA 93720

Shift: 12 Hour shifts, Nights, self-scheduling

Pay Range: Depends on experience between $44.23 – $64.14 plus benefits

*May be adjusted based on career ladder placement

Position Requirements:

License: CA RN License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS (within 90 days), PALS (within 6 months)

Experience: 1 year of related experience in ED, telemetry, or critical care units

Education: Associates required

About the Unit

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, this position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of each assigned patient; supervising, coordinating and guiding the activities with nursing staff members; and implementing the philosophy, goals and standards of care of the Emergency Department.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family, and health care personnel is required.
  • Ability to handle varying issues in the midst of any situation and work effectively individually and as a member of a team within a stress-producing environment is required.
  • Training (in compliance with SAMC workplace violence policy) for care of behavioral health/aggressive-combative patients, families, visitors, etc., is required within three (3) months of hire into position and annually thereafter.
  • Responsible for triaging patients in the Emergency Department.
  • Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques.
  • Educates the patient, family and/or significant other regarding pain management.
  • Delivers individualized quality patient care through a coordinated team approach with physicians, staff, other departments and the patient’s family and/or significant others.
  • Effectively communicates patient needs, interacts with clinical support staff to achieve the best possible patient outcomes, evaluates patient outcomes and revises patient’s plan of care accordingly.
  • Resolves patient problems and needs by utilizing multi-disciplinary team strategies.
