All About You:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineering Technical Leader to join our team. As an Application Engineering Technical Leader, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of our application solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and customers to understand their requirements and deliver innovative and efficient solutions.

In this role, you will oversee a team of application engineers, troubleshooting technical issues, and adhering to current codes and industry standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) applications or distributed power generation applications
  • Proven experience as an application engineer or similar role
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to utilize MATLAB and other relevant software tools for BESS system modeling, performance analysis, and optimization
  • In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and practices
  • Solid understanding of electricity, power generation, energy industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical system design validation.
  • Prepare and approve projects' technical documentation and contribute to the system product configuration.
  • Evaluate BESS systems based on applicable current codes and industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead and coordinate tasks of the application engineering team providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
  • Define and analyze project specific requirements based on customer's specifications to design optimal BESS solutions tailored to specific needs.
  • Review and validate specifications, design, qualification, and certification of BESS integration projects.
  • System level development of power systems with an emphasis on specifying the power conversion systems and plant management / SCADA systems.
  • Define and implement action plans to technically answer the customer's requirements.
  • Provide support to the bid and proposal teams for technical questions that arise during the bid phase.
  • Lead the technical review and approval of the BESS contracts with Bid Manager, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and customer requirements.
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies and ensure integration compatibility with third-party products and systems.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring efficient execution and delivery of BESS projects.
