Operations Manager

Primary Responsibilities

Plumber: To include but not limited to in professional trade, the knowledge and ability to independently install and perform maintenance on piping systems for air, natural and industrial gases, steam and condensate return, water, storm, and sanitary sewer lines. Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, lavatories, water closets, urinals, gas and electric water heaters, water coolers, and pumps. Fabricate piping systems using pipe manufactured from steel, copper, ABS and PVC plastic, poly gas services terra cotta and cast-iron soil pipe. Plan and layout work and select proper materials. Read and interpret plans and specifications. Have a proven history in plumbing/pipe fitting skills. Knowledge of and ability to work with hand/power tools. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding. Certification in backflow prevention (assembly, testing and repair).

Required Education and Experience

  • Shall possess the following certifications:
  • Registration and license from Monongalia County at Journeyman or Master level plumber
  • Current certification in backflow prevention (assembly, testing and repair).
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in similar role or related field (With Current References)
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a CDC/NIOSH Security Clearance.

Preferred Education and Experience

    • Master Plumber License
    • Working within Government Facility Settings
    • Certification in backflow prevention (assembly, testing and repair).
    • Operation of snow moving equipment (Truck, Plow & Spreader)
    • Operations of Skid Steer (bobcat type)

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment in his/her specialty qualification. The qualified Plumber will be designated to work on, operate, maintain, and (or) repair utility and mechanical plumbing equipment or systems.

Seasonal: Snow Removal

Position requires knowledge in operating 4x4 Pickup truck with snow spreader and plow attachments and skid steer.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in the field/location of assignment.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This would require the ability to lift to 75 pounds. The employee is frequently required bend or stand as necessary, with considerable amounts of walking carrying small tool for trade and or supply materials.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm 11:30 PM (subject to modification with prior notice) Must be available for call back for emergency or snow removal request.
